Watson Molecular Biology Of The Gene 7th Edition PDF is mostly a general overview of molecular biology, with some illustrations, graphs, and examples. It covers how genes “work” but it doesn’t delve into the specifics too often. It is a book on how the structure of DNA and RNA molecules can be used to understand life.

– The amount of topics in this book is impressive as there are 44 chapters total that detail different kinds of cells and their functions which include: mitosis and meiosis, viruses, bacteriophages, eukaryotic cells in general; prokaryotic cells; membranes and their functions; nucleic acids; protein synthesis through translation etc.
– There are many illustrations with molecular models, these are useful because it aids in the understanding of the molecular mechanisms that the reader needs to have.
– The topics covered in this book are very broad so it is suitable for someone who doesn’t know much about biology and wants to learn more about it.
– I found that there was a lot of information on viruses in this book, I believe somewhere around 30% of the book deals with viruses. This subject was very interesting to me as I had never paid a lot of attention to them until now but after reading up on them and seeing how they are structured and how they affect our life, they were definitely interesting so I am glad that they were put in here.
